Evidence[edit]
Beverly Elaine Clark was born January 31, 1936, in Union Township, Marshall County, Indiana, to Black parents.
Beverly Elaine Boles is the widow of Rual Sidney Boles:
And his obituary in the Indianapolis Star gives her name as Beverly Clark Boles.
They were married in the Chicago area on January 26, 1960.
That means Bev would have been 17 when Beastley's turned her away, which made me wonder if there was another reason involving protecting her feminine virtue—but Sally Dunn was also 17, and Dave Ish was 15. So it wasn't about her age or her sex; it was just plain racism.
