Stacon was a one-day convention held in Tuscaloosa, Alabama, in the late 1970s, likely affiliated with the University of Alabama. There were at least two.

Stacon II April 14, 1979 As announced in SFC Bulletin 21 (Spring 1979, p. 3): “Tommy Deas, 260 Woodland Hills, Tuscaloosa AL 35401 writes that STACON will be held on April 14, 1979 at Ferguson Center, 10 am to 7 pm. It will feature films, a dealers room, a small art display (if artists cooperate - quickly).”
