From Fancyclopedia 2, ca. 1959
A possessed (by an electronic intelligence) bulldozer in Ted Sturgeon's novelette of this name; sometimes used as synonymous with the runaway intelligent machine.

The story was adapted into a made for TV movie in 1974 staring Clint Walker.

It illustrated the developing rift in New Orleans fandom when it aired on the same night and time as Silent Running and a meeting of the New Orleans Science Fiction Association. The meeting was delayed while the films were watched on the two TVs in the hosts apartment by the media fen in the livingroom and the old line fen in the bedroom.
