Shariann Lewitt, an American writer, began publishing sf with "St. Joey the Action" in Perpetual Light (1982). The initial N in her byline stands for "Nothing"; she credits her works to S. N. Lewitt, Shariann Lewitt and Shariann N. Lewitt; pennames include Rick North and Gordon Kendall.
