Edward Dale Hart, an early fan from Texas, started reading sf in 1930 and became a fan in 1937 when he came across Fantasy Magazine. He was the main organizer of the Tri-Cities SFL and was a member of FAPA, SFA, FooFoo, OSA, and WAFFF.
He attended the first Worldcon, Nycon, in 1939, where he tried to convince the Triumvirs to reverse their Exclusion Act against the Futurians.
