David Ish was a fan who found fandom early, being at the 1953 Worldcon, [[Philcon II], helping on the convention newsletter, the Philcon Reporter and winning big at poker (as recounted in Robert Silverberg's 1968 MC speech at the Hugo ceremony (see the 1968 Hugo Ceremony Transcript.)
