Manly Banister was a fan and a pro author from Kansas City. He published an early fanzine of professional quality, The Nekromantikon (1950–1951), which ran for five issues. His mimeograph was the Iron Maiden.
He began publishing fiction of genre interest with "Satan's Bondage" for Weird Tales (September, 1942).
