Don Ivan Punchatz was a SF and fantasy artist who studied under Burne Hogarth. Early in his career he worked primarily for paperback book publishers, including Ace, Berkley, Dell, and Avon. He also drew illustrations for numerous books and publications, including magazines such as Heavy Metal, National Geographic, Playboy, and Time.
