Smofcon 40 is a convention to be held December 1–3, 2023 at the Providence Marriott Downtown in Providence, RI. It is sponsored by MCFI, which ran the Providence in 2023 bid, defeating Stockholm in 2023 (both bids hastily organized in the wake of the collapse of the only announced bid). It will be chaired by Lisa Hertel.
