The Encyclopedia of Science Fiction describes Richard Powers, American author of the 2019 Pulitzer Prize-winning The Overstory, as a “Mainstream Writer of SF.”
He is Professor Emeritus of English at the University of Illinois in Champaign-Urbana, his alma mater.
