Fred W. Fischer
(December 6, 1910 – December 10, 1975)
Fred William Fischer, SF fan, member of the Dixie Fantasy Fan Federation in the early 1940s.
According to a biographical interview in The Southern Star, he was born in Knoxville, spent his teen years in Denver reading the pulps, then returned to Tennessee for college and remained there.
