Bill Fesselmeyer served on the bid committee and concom of MidAmeriCon, the 1976 Worldcon in Kansas City. WSFS business meeting wrangling at the time inspired him to pen “How the GRINCH Stole Worldcon,” a classic piece of faan fiction about the demise of fandom, told from a far-future perspective.
