SF story by Murray Leinster (William Fitzgerald Jenkins) that appeared in the June, 1934, issue of Astounding. In the story a strange storm causes parts of Earth to change places with their analogs from other timelines. This is the first real story of alternate history in SF.

The Sidewise Awards for Alternate History, established in 1995 to recognize the best alternate history stories and novels of the year, took their name from this story.
