Byron Connell is a long-time costuming fan who likes to help at masquerades and similar costuming events rather than entering them. He lives in the Albany area with his wife, fellow fan Tina Connell. He was the president of the International Costumers' Guild in 1998–2001, received its 1996 Lifetime Achievement Award and (with other four people) 2020 President’s Award for Leadership in the Costuming Community, and also served was the President of the New York/New Jersey Costumers' Guild Chapter.
With Pat Kennedy he co-chaired LASTCon T'ree and LASTCon Fore (1985–6).[1]
