Munich Round Up
A fanzine initially intended by Heinz Fries as a newsletter for the SFCD-city group of Munich, Germany. IT was first published in November 1958. Starting February 1959 it was published by Waldemar Kumming and Walter Reinecke until the death of the latter in 1981, thereafter by Waldemar Kumming with a total of 179 issues until 2014.
Kuming regularly published German translations of Bob Shaw's fannish manuscripts in Munich Round Up, with illustrations by Jim Barker and translations into German by Gary Kluepfel who had to translate some of Shaw's puns into their German equivalents and replaced names of British fans/pros with appropriate German or Austrian persons.
Waldemar Kumming was bestowed the Kurd Lasswitz Special Award 1993 for Munich Round Up and lifetime achievements.
