Lawrence Watt Evans (no hyphen) is an American SF and fantasy author who was born in Arlington, MA and he made his first attempts at professional writing when he was eight. He has used several pseudonyms, including Lawrence Watt-Evans (cunning!) Nathan Archer, and Carlisle Hsing.
He was president of the Horror Writers Association from 1994 to 1996, and has also served as Eastern Regional Director and treasurer of SFWA.
As Nathan Archer he wrote two Star Trek novels.
