Site Selection for the 2000 Worldcon was conducted by LoneStarCon 2, the 1997 Worldcon. The only bidder which filed was Chicago in 2000 which won and went on to run Chicon 2000. (KC in 2000 bid, but withdrew from the race. Boston Mountains in 2000 was a hoax bid.)
Bidder | At-Con | Total | |
---|---|---|---|
Chicago in 2000 | 304 | 989 | 1293 |
other | 23 | 151 | 174 |
total | 327 | 1140 | 1467 |
Of the "other" there were 2 invalid ballots, and 2 Hugo ballots mailed to the site selection administrator.
