A Westercon bid to hold the 1967 Westercon at the Berkeley House motel in Berkeley, CA. The proposed Westercon would have been called "Unicon" with a Unicorn as its symbol. The bid committee was chaired by Ardis Waters, with Al haLevy in charge of program, Ed Clinton running publicity and publications, Sharon Karpinski dealing with facilities and Bob Chazin in charge of hospitality.

It was opposed by Burlingame in '67 (interestingly, also run by Berkeley-area fans), and LA in '67. LA in '67 won. See 1967 Westercon Site Selection.
