VCON 26 was held May 4-6, 2001 at the Radisson Hotel in Burnaby, BC. It was also the 21st Canvention. The Writer GoH was Lynn Abbey, the Gaming GoH was James Ernest, the Costume GoHs were Betty Bigelow & David Bigelow, the Science GoH was George Dyson, the Canvention GoH was Candas Jane Dorsey and the Fan GoH was Al Betz. It was chaired by Chris Sturgis, the theme was "A Space Oddity: Humour in Science Fiction" and the toastmaster was Robert Sawyer. Attendance was about 250 (there was a bus strike which hurt badly). It was chaired by Chris Sturgis.
