OKon 1 was a convention held July 30-31, 1977 in Tulsa, OK at the Trade Winds Central Hotel. It is not clear whether it had GoHs. Its history says the GoHs were R. A. Lafferty and C. J. Cherryh, through it advertised R. A. Lafferty, Jim Rogers, Bob Tucker, Lee Killough, and C. J. Cherryh as guests.

The committee expected about 300 people, but over 900 showed up. The dealer's room was so crowded people lined up to go through one door, were herded through in single file, then out another door. Bob Tucker's hotel room was burglarized during the con; the intruders took everything, including his glasses.
