DeepSouthCon 35 was held June 6-8, 1997 in conjunction with ChimneyCon 3 in Jackson, MS. Attendance was about 200 and it was chaired by Tom Feller. J. R. Madden was Fan GoH, Hanther the Artist GoH, James P. Hogan was a Special Guest. Michael Scott was Toastmaster.
Teddy Harvia won the Rebel Award and James P. Hogan won the Phoenix Award. The Rubble Award went to Hank Reinhardt.
