Kevin J. Maroney is a long-time fan who is also managing editor of The New York Review of Science Fiction. In the latter capacity, he has received fourteen nominations for the Best Semiprozine Hugo: 1997-2009, 2012
He has stated: "I started reading SF because of peer pressure: Both my father and my older brother were heavy SF readers, so the stuff was all around the house when I was growing up."
