(???? – )
Charles N. G. 'Charlie' Matthews was a UK fan probably from London and active in the mid-1940s. He was a member of the Cosmos Club (CSC), described in Cosmic Cuts #6 (January 1944) as 'one of the very first members when the C.S.C. was no more than a small circulating library', suggesting he had actualy been a member of the CSC's precursor organisation, the Paint Research Station Science Fiction Library.
In December 1943 he was reported in Sicily, presumably in some military capacity.
