Scotland is a country in the United Kingdom. Most of the fanac there takes place in Glasgow, which has been selected to host three Worldcons.
Marion Eadie of Glasgow may be Scotland's first fan. She founded the Junior Astronomical Association in 1933 and edited its journal Urania from 1935.
Osmond Robb of Edinburgh was reading pulp magazines as early as 1937, contributing published letters to Amazing Stories, April 1937, and Weird Tales, November 1938. He contributed a cover to the first issue of The Fantast in April 1939.
James Parkhill Rathbone of Edinburgh produced Macabre in August 1939, likely the first Scottish fanzine.
