Philip E. Kaveny is a longtime Wisconsin fan and academic, based in Eau Claire. He is active in the Mythopoeic Society and was a founder of Wiscon. He has worked in various roles on Worldcons and other conventions.
He has been married to fellow fan Jan Bogstad since August 7, 1987. They ran the SFRA Conference in 1996 and edited the collection Picturing Tolkien: Essays on Peter Jackson's the Lord of the Rings Film Trilogy (2011).
He was a huckster and an online book dealer.
