Joe Walter was a teenaged fan from Fort Bragg, California, active in the 1970s. He used the penname J. A. Van Horn for some fanwriting.
He co-founder and co-editor of the first five issues of the fanzine Knights of the Paper Space Ship, aka KPSS. He also published the three-issue fanzine A Flying What?, the one-shot Disasociation (two-pages, January 1975), and the one-shot Fantabulous Crud (c. 1975; 12 pages+cover).
He was a founding member of APA-50.
