Nigel Rowe is a UK-born New Zealand-reared fanzine fan and conrunning fan living in Chicago. During the 1980s and ’90s he worked on a variety of New Zealand Natcon cons and regionals in New Zealand (including chairing Norcon II in 1984 and Orcon '85). He has been a member of the National Association of SF (NASF) National Committee, the Auckland University SF Society (AUSFS), Aotearapa, fwa, and FWUK. He ran for FFANZ in 1983. At the 78th Worldcon CoNZealand he was extensively involved in creating virtual displays celebrating the history of NZ fandom.

Nigel wrote Timeless Sands — a History of Science Fiction Fandom in New Zealand and The History of Science Fiction Fandom in ... New Zealand .... and edited Aotearapa: The First 10 Years Anthology. In addition he was a founder of the Auckland SF Foundation which specialized in providing consulting services to con organizers, publishers, and film producers for many years.

He was married, for a time, to Karen Babich.
