Robert H. Richardson, a British fan, was a member of the Cheltenham Circle (of which he was Treasurer), of the Liverpool Group, the Gestalters, and one of the founders of the Order of St. Fantony of which he was Knight Armorer; at its first initiation in 1957, he wore a black bow-tie, embroidered waistcoat, flowing cloaks and a gleaming helmet adorned with a crest and a propeller beanie.

He was on the Brumcon committee.

In mundane life, he had spent sixteen years in the Royal Navy.
