DeepSouthCon 35 was held June 6-8, 1997 in conjunction with ChimneyCon 3 at Cabot Lodge-Millsaps in Jackson, MS. Attendance was about 200 and it was chaired by Tom Feller. J. R. Madden was Fan GoH, Hanther the Artist GoH, James P. Hogan, Barbara Hambly and Roland Mann were Special Guests. Michael Scott was Toastmaster.
Teddy Harvia won the Rebel Award and James P. Hogan won the Phoenix Award. The Rubble Award went to Hank Reinhardt.
