Medtrek III, Eccentricon was the 5th National SF Media Convention, held 3-6 July 1987 at Hawkesbury Agricultural College, Richmond, NSW, Australia. Theme: By Popular Demand, The Galactic Senate Take Over Guests of Honour included Bjo Trimble, and Brian Croucher (Travis from Blake's 7).
"Galactic Senate Elections" were won by THRUSH (of The Man from U.N.C.L.E.) represented by the "Mad Canberra Mob". In third place was Maltz (a Klingon), represented by Ian McLean who describes his campaign here.
