A bid to hold the 1988 Worldcon at the Cervantes Convention Center and nine hotels in St. Louis, MO.
For reasons which are obscure, it was unable to secure the endorsement of the St. Louis Science Fiction Society which, after months of squabbling, finally came to a tie vote on a motion to endorse the bid.
St. Louis lost to New Orleans in '88 at site selection at ConFederation. The other bidders were the Bermuda Triangle Bid and Cincinnati in '88. See 1988 Worldcon Site Selection for details.
