Patrick H. (Pat) Adkins was a New Orleans fan who was a member of the New Orleans Science Fiction Association, the Burroughs Bibliophiles, and the Edgar Rice Burroughs Amateur Press Association (ERB-APA). After college, he was the editor and publisher of works by David H. Keller, Frank Morlock's translations for Shakespeare in France, and previously unpublished works by Edgar Rice Burroughs under the imprint, Guidry and Atkins. He wrote short stories, three novels in a fantasy series, one novel of imaginative horror, and ghostwrote a major textbook on ophthalmology.
