Bernard 'Bert' High was a UK fan from Stockton-on-Tees active in the 1940s and early 1950s. He was a member of the Science Fantasy Society (SFS) and the North East Science Fiction Society (NESFS), and attended the NECON in 1951.

He wrote to the eighth issue the SFS's official organ, Science Fantasy News in July 1951:

The arrival of SFNews came as a surprise... I had thought the SFS had died a quiet death. It seems to me that only you two blokes[1] are doing your utmost to keep things going.

The editorial reply was:

((Alas...that gurgling sound is the SFS being put out of its misery. Again, many thanks for your offers of help, but on the mechanical side we are at last getting some aid from London. But we do need news, we do need reviews, and articles too. And some hints as to the kind of news that you want.

In Satellite #5 (Spring 1955), Don Allen suggests High had been an early member of the NESFS in 1954 but had by that point 'ceased to exist as far as the club is concerned'. He does not appear in the Directory of Science Fiction Fandom for 1955.
