Cyril Shute was a UK fan from Stafford active in the 1940s through to at least the 1960s. He was a member of the Science Fantasy Society (SFS), the N3F and the BSFA.

An N3F introduction in The Committeeman #2 (October 1950) said:

Electrical Engineer, 32, read stf 20 yrs. SFS of GB. Amateur publishing, writing, artist. Corresponds. Sponsor, Ken Slater.

He joined the BSFA around 1960.
