F. James Grimes was a UK fan from Lancashire active in the 1940s. He was a member of the British Fantasy Library (BFL). According to Walt Willis writing in 'I Remember Me', Operation Fantast #3 contained a letter from Grimes, 'bitterly bemoaning the lassitude of the membership of the BFL'.
He does not appear in the 1945 Directory of Anglo-Fandom.
