An ultimately unopposed bid to host the 83rd Worldcon in the new Summit Expansion to the Seattle Convention Center in downtown Seattle August 13–17, 2025. It was co-chaired by Kathy Bond, named chair of the subsequent Worldcon, and SunnyJim Morgan.
It was sponsored by the Seattle Genre Alliance; the original corporate officers on file with the State of Washington were Katharine Bond (Chairperson), Kevin Black (Treasurer), Alan Bond (Secretary), and Jamie Morgan (Vice-Chairperson).
Other members of the bid committee included: Don Glover, Shawn Marier, Cassidy R., Alex Demboski, Michelle Morrell, Nate Hoffelder, Chanie Beckman, Loree Parker, and Angela Jones.
The 2025 Site Selection was decided at Chengdu WorldCon in 2023. Australia 2025 did not file, leaving Seattle the only contender. The convention was given the very inspired official moniker of Seattle Worldcon 2025.
