Norbert Chesley “Norb” Couch was a St. Louis fan and husband to fellow fan Leigh Couch. Their children were also fans: Lesleigh Luttrell, Chris Couch, and Mike Couch. He was a member of the Ozark Science Fiction Association and a member of the St. Louiscon committee.

Norb met Leigh in college at St. Louis University in the 1940s, when a copy of Thrilling Wonder Stories fell out of her notebook, they told the St. Louis Post-Dispatch in 1967:

“It was such a terrible triangle, I had to keep it hidden,” she said. “But we looked at each other, then we looked at the magazine, and we said simultaneously, ‘Oh, you read those things, too.’ And that was how it all began. Later, we took a whole stack along on our honeymoon.”

He was a cartographer.
