(Did you mean a Canadian convention?)
Scott Imes, who was running the department making a video record of MidAmeriCon, the 1976 Worldcon, organized a convention January 1-4, 1976 at the St Andrews Hotel in Minneapolis to train fans who wanted to participate. Topics included audio, color and monocolor video workshops, technical and ethical problems in magnetic tape recording, equipment maintenance and operation, and creation of a fannish magnetic tape library.
