-Originally, a book's bibliographic data (publisher, copyright date, etc.) at the end of the book or on the back of the title page. In fannish usage, a few lines (or more) of information about a fanzine, usually found at or near the beginning. The colophon usually includes: zine title, issue number, publication date, editor's name, publishing house, subscription information and other described ways of getting the publication (see also [[The Usual]]), and miscellaneous useful information. Some colophons are more interesting than the zines in which they are found.
