Tropicon VIII was a convention held December 1-3, 1989 in Dania, FL. The GoH was Lynn Abbey, the FGoH Leslie Turek and Julia Ecklar was the special Filk Guest.
It was co-chaired by Tony Parker & Judy Bemis, and C. J. Cherryh was toastmaster. This was Lynn Abbey's first time as a GoH at a convention that did not have Robert Asprin as a GoH. Attendance was 210.
