ChambanaCon 28 was a convention held November 27-29, 1998 at the Clarion Hotel and Convention Center in Champaign, IL. The GoHs were Andrew J. Offutt and Elaine Oldham.

The toastmasters were Wilson "Smooth Bob" Tucker and Rusty Hevelin and it was chaired by M. David Brim. Its motto: "It Came from Springfield: The Forbidden Convention".
