Site Selection for the 1998 Worldcon was conducted by Intersection, the 1995 Worldcon. There were five bidders Boston in '98, Atlanta in '98, Baltimore in '98, Boston in 1998, and Niagara Falls in '98. Boston in '98 lost its facilities and switched to bidding for 2001 as Boston in 2001 and was subsequently replaced by a different Boston bid for a different site, Boston in 1998.
Baltimore in '98 won and went on to run BucConeer.
