(February 21, 1917 – ????)

Bert Hodson was a UK fan from Lancashire active from 1959 to the mid 1960s and perhaps later. Who's Who in Science Fiction Fandom (1961) said he was corresponding with three American and five British fans and was keen to correspond with more. He had been reading sf since 1941 but had only encountered fandom in 1959. He was a member of the Burroughs Bibliophiles[1].

A letter in Les Spinge #10 (January 1963) implied he hadn't met any other fans at that point and had joined the BSFA with a a view to attending the 1963 Eastercon in Peterborough. He is listed as a member but not of the following year's convention in the same place.

In 1961 he was employed as a security officer. His other interests included gardening and his Doberman Pinscher.
