Derrick Ashby is a Melbourne fan. He was OE of QVC and a member of ANZAPA. He was married to fellow fan Christine Ashby. They were on the Melbourne in '85 committee, and organized Smoffcon 1 and co-chaired Eastercon '79. He ran unsuccessfully in the 1982 DUFF Race. He was OE of QVC and ZAPA.
