Jefferson P. Swycaffer is a fifth-generation Californian who lives in San Diego, where he is active in local fandom. He is an active Neffer, serving on the N3F Directorate, as Collator of N'APA and on the club's Information Technology Committee. Swycaffer also runs the N3F's annual Amateur Short Story Contest.
He had several SF novels published in the 1980s–90s. He was associate editor of A Sea of Stars Like Diamonds, an anthology of original SF stories (2016).
