LepreCon 6 was scheduled to be held May 2-4, 1980 at the Hyatt Regency in Phoenix, AZ but was cancelled in mid-April due to "hotel problems." File 770 20, p. 14 reports that this was due to complexities associated with Iguanacon, though the details reported there don't seem especially plausible.
A "hastily organize relaxacon," AlterCon 1 was held instead with a different set of guests.
The Pro GoH was Gordon R. Dickson, and Milt Stevens was the Fan GoH. It was chaired by Randy Rau and Terry Carr was scheduled to serve as toastmaster.
