Kurt Erichsen, a fanartist living in Toledo, Ohio, has published cartoons widely in fanzines. Some of his art was collected in Taciturn. He also published Here Are Tales That Will Send You to an MD and Endeavor. His annual Christmas Card is eagerly anticipated.
He has run art programming for ConFusion and other cons. He was a member of CAPA-Alpha and APA 5 and chairman of the United Fanzine Organization.
In mundania, he created a syndicated gay comic, “Murphy’s Manor,” which ran from 1981 through 2019, and worked as a civil engineer until his 2018 retirement. He married his longtime partner, John Widmer, a fellow fan, in 2015. He’s originally from Oregon.
