Her cover and interior artwork has been published by TSR, The Easton Press, Analog, Weird Tales, and Marion Zimmer Bradley's Fantasy Magazine.
The widow, and second wife, of famous SF artist Frank Kelly Freas, she was born in New Jersey in 1947, and has a doctorate in music education. She is a voiceover artist and longtime classical music personality on radio stations in Los Angeles. After Freas’ death, she married Steven Beraha, a teacher, on June 17, 2012.
