Geoffrey Alan Landis is an American scientist, working for the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) on planetary exploration, interstellar propulsion, solar power and photovoltaics. He is married to Mary Turzillo.
He has never been a prolific writer, but has consistently produced excellent SF over a four-decade-long career.
He is primarily known as a hard SF writer and he also writes sf poetry. A collection of his short fiction, Impact Parameter (and Other Quantum Realities), was published by Golden Gryphon Press in 2001. He also contributes science articles to various academic publications.
