(January 23, 1954 –)

An LA-area conrunning fan who found fandom in 1968, Craig Miller met Ray Bradbury who suggested he should join LASFS (of which he remains a member, including many years on its Board and as Chairman of the Board) and then attended FunCon 1. Since then, his major fanac has been congoing and conrunning. He has been a member of CAPA-Alpha.

He co-chaired the LA in 1984 bid and the resulting L.A.con II, the 1984 Worldcon. In addition, he chaired Loscon 12 and Sercon 1 and co-chaired OakLaCon (Westercon 28) and Equicon '74. He is one of the founders of SCIFI. He was a member of Cosmic Wind Enterprises and edited an issue of Flights of Fantasy and many issues of SFinctor.

He was integral in the Columbus in 1985 hoax.

He is married to fellow fan Genny Dazzo.

Professionally, he did promotions for Star Wars for Lucasfilms in the late 1970s and early ’80s, which gave him the opportunity to travel to many conventions on their behalf ... and to promote LA in 1984. His memoir, Star Wars Adventures: My Time in the (Death Star) Trenches, was published in 2019. He ran Con Artists, an independent publicity and promotions firm.

He has gone on to a distinguished career as a television writer and producer, with more than 300 credits including The Smurfs, Curious George, The Hunger, G.I. Joe: A Real American Hero, Beast Wars: Transformer and The Real Ghostbusters. He and Marv Wolfman formed Wolfmill Entertainment in 1997. In 1998, with Wolfman, he co-created, produced, and was a story editor on Pocket Dragon Adventures, an animated series syndicated until the early 2000s in more than 50 countries.
